My name is Matthew Ferguson, and I’m an entrepreneur and investor.
I’m the Founder & General Partner at Offroad, an early-stage venture capital firm.
Previously, before I started Offroad, I was an early employee at Passes which was founded by Lucy Guo who also co-founded Scale and Backend Capital.

I learned more from my experience at Passes than anything I could have read or studied.
Of all the things I learned there, and working with Lucy, the most powerful was realizing you don’t need permission.
That realization is what pushed me to start Offroad and build.
